The Loss of an ICON

It's official so we will report on it... R.I.P. Michael Joseph Jackson (8-29-58 ~ 6-25-09). All jokes aside; a life lost is never a laughing matter for family and friends. It saddens me to write this very blog because I grew up listening to and idolizing Mike's musical accomplishments. I don't know if all his legal troubles were staged, real, or fake but a man's life shouldn't be judged by his mis-steps, but by the good he's done for the world and its people. Like my grandfather just told me when I called him to discuss my disbelief in Mike's passing "it's not how and when you die, it's about what you did while you were here; and where you're going after." ...Ma ma se ma ma sa ma ma coo sa! ...he leaves quite a legacy. R.I.P. M.J.J.

Turkey Baster

I was browsing the internet yesterday when I came across a very interesting entry at MediaTakeOut.com Apparently a woman who calls herself a "former escort and madam" started up a new business. New businesses are started everyday, however I'm sure you will find this business to be very unique. The woman has started a business of selling athlete's semen. According to the woman's members only website (which has not been posted), she's secretly collected close to a dozen "samples" of athlete's semen and is now selling the samples to the highest bidder. The samples were supposedly taken from used condoms and immediately frozen.

Some of you are probably wondering if there is some type of legal issue with her business. The answer to that question is in fact a NO. Actually, the way paternity laws are written - the male would be entitled support the child once the baby is born.

It's also seemed to of worked out in the past. The woman claims that she's already sold two "samples" which has lead to successful insemination. Both women have said that they have received up to "5 figures a month" in child support settlements.

The website also claims that she has one member of the 2008 Olympic team, and 4 members of the 2009 All Star Team.

Now I know I am a fashion blogger, but seriously, your cell phone has a lot to do with your presentation. First off to defend my point, if you have a 1998 flip or a busted touch screen then it does not matter what trends you have on, you are still LATE. I am tired of seeing people with a $125 pair of Jordan’s or a $75 T-shirt from BeBe, but they got a prepaid Pantech in their pocket. YOUR PLAYED. Get with the times.

I guess this would be the last installment in the Nike MVP Puppets campaign surrounding Kobe & LeBron. Nike always creates a buzz during playoff time with their innovative commercials, and I don't expect next year to be any different.
