Sunday, February 7, 2010. To many, this is just a regular Sunday, first Sunday of the month of February. But to millions of sports fans across the world, this is SUPER BOWL SUNDAY!
What's good people??? Welcome to the inaugural edition of my weekly sports column,"Endzone to the Paint", exclusively here on www.fab5ent.com. If you follow me on Twitter (and you should, @LBoogieFab5), as well as the rest of the Fab 5 family, you know that we LOVE our sports. On my page particularly, there's a lot of Sports talk, especially when the Lakers are playing and throughout every Football Sunday. I've decided to channel my energy into a weekly sports blog here on the site, covering a wide range of topics and sports, but of course focused more on football and basketball, college and pro. For this first column, I'm going to keep it basic with the NFL Playoffs and recent activity from the NBA. Format may change as I get the hang of things, but enjoy the ride and I appreciate the support and expect comments!
The highly anticipated "No Ceilings" mixtape from Lil Wayne, due out Halloween 2009, has hit the internet a few days early for the masses! This sounds like a Dedication 2/Drought 3 "mixtape" Weezy and I'm excited to hear this. Shouts to 2dopeboyz for the linkage!
With the release of NBA 2K10 nearing, there still isn't a demo out or any officially released gameplay footage from 2k Sports, and this has angered some of fans of the sports series. Never fear as Kobe Bryant faced off against Carmelo Anthony in a game of NBA 2K10, in an event last night sponsored by 2K Sports. The quality of the video isn't great and the gameplay isn't normal as the game was played on rookie and Kobe didn't even know how to dunk, but its something. Check it out as two of the game's best duke it out.
As my bro Zekiel stated in his blog earlier, http://www.fab5ent.com/fab-5-t-dot-party-goin-global, he and I traveled to Canada and enjoyed the beautiful city of Toronto. The city was amazing and the culture was something to behold. In our less than 24 hours there, we learned a lot about the culture, the people, and the attractions. The highlight of the trip of course, was meeting Karla Moy aka hustleGRL (www.hustleGRL.com). Check out her blog, she pretty much runs T. Dot. I mean, who else has Drizzy Drake and Trey Songz at their 17th birthday party? This is just a quick slideshow of the pictures that I captured on my iPhone and as soon as I can edit it, there will be at least one video from the trip posted. Enjoy!
So this is the footage of LeBron James getting banged on by Jordan Crawford of Xavier...nothing that LeBron and Nike should have gotten so embarrassed about. I was hoping they caught the Nike rep confiscating the other cameras' tapes. THAT would have been worth all this hoopla. Either way, here's the jam. Mr. Crawford catches Prince James slippin'...
Now that everyone and their momma has a reality show (T.O included), Shaquille O'Neal has teamed up with ABC to launch his own show. The show, titled "Shaq Vs.", will showcase O'Neal challenging top athletes in their own sports. As a matter of fact, shooting begins in Pittsburgh tomorrow with Shaq going head to head with Ben Roethlisberger in some type of football competition. Other athletes on the show include Oscar De La Hoya, Michael Phelps, Serena Williams, Albert Pujols, and more!
World Premiere of the highly anticipated music video for Drake's Best I Ever Had single, directed by none other than Kanye West. Leave your thoughts and enjoy!
I guess this would be the last installment in the Nike MVP Puppets campaign surrounding Kobe & LeBron. Nike always creates a buzz during playoff time with their innovative commercials, and I don't expect next year to be any different.
